How to connect to Broadband

If you are not sure how you to connect to DSLconnect (Universal Broadband) after you have installed the modem you can locate your connection on your computer (NOTE: Follow these steps if your modem has been installed and is lit up). This varies depending on which operating system you are running - follow the appropriate route for your computer:

  • Windows 98 & Windows ME: On your computers desktop click My Computer and then double click on the Dial-Up Networking folder. You should then be able to see the SpeedTouch or Universal Broadband connection icon (this may also be called Internet ADSL). If you cannot find an icon for SpeedTouch or Universal Broadband  here you can manually set up a connection as described here.

  • Windows 2000: Click Start then Control Panel then Network and Dial-up Connections. You should then be able to see the SpeedTouch or Universal Broadband connection icon (this may also be called Internet ADSL). If you cannot find an icon for SpeedTouch or Universal Broadband here you can manually set up a connection as described here.
